Hawthorne, CA—Serial data ECU owners rejoice! AEM has created Plug & Play CAN bus Communication Harnesses that converts the datastream from the serial data ports on AEM Series 1, Hondata KPro1-3 and MoTeC M4/M48/M8/MLS/M2R programmable ECUs into AEMdata CAN bus for display and logging on CD Carbon Digital Dash Displays! These adapter cables provide a one-plug connection and are already configured in DashDesign 2.0 software to import, making them easy to setup and configure.

The Serial-to-CAN adapter cable harness for the AEM Series 1 EMS (PN 30-2228) supports 21 channels of data for displaying and logging on a CD Carbon Digital Dash for 51 Series 1 EMS part numbers and two MOPAR Performance part numbers for the Dodge Viper (click down below for supported part numbers and available channels).

The Serial-to-CAN adapter harness for the Hondata KPro, KPro2 and KPro3 running in PRB, PNF, PRD, PRC and PND ECUs (PN 30-2229) supports 30 channels of data for displaying and logging (click here for supported ECU info and available channels).

There are two Serial-to-CAN adapter harnesses for MoTeC ECUs that support M4, M48, M8, M2R and MLS model ECUs. All early M4-based ECUs which normally require the use of a CIM to communicate with the PC (M4 with serial numbers between 0-2999), all M48s and all M8s use AEM adapter harness PN 30-2230 which includes the CIM functionality in the adaptor All later M4 ECUs (M4 with serial numbers 3000 and above), all MLSs and all M2Rs use AEM adapter PN 30-2231. There are 37 parameter channels and 32 state channels that are available for displaying and logging on a CD Carbon Dash Display (click here for MoTec early SNs and click here for MoTec late SNs).

About the CD Carbon Dashes

CD-5 and CD-7 Carbon Digital Dash Displays feature full-color, daylight readable screens surrounded by tough, lightweight flow-molded carbon fiber composite housings. They receive channels from CAN-enabled devices and can be installed on any vehicle, and are available with integrated data logging and GPS for MPH, track mapping and lap timing. Seven ultra-bright LEDs span the top of the display housings for RPM and shift light indication and two additional programmable LEDs are located on the sides of the enclosure. Users can program the shift lights to ascend in specific increments based on RPM range and flash when it is time to shift. Brightness is user programmable for the display screen and LEDs.
