At a special match race at Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Md., second-generation racer Lizzy Musi, daughter of former Pro Stock and Pro Mod pioneer Pat Musi, obliterated the all-time Pro Nitrous record. With a blistering wheels-up charge of 3.63 seconds at 205 mph, Musi, who runs a complete Power Grid Ignition, launch control, crank trigger, starter, and Super Conductor spark plug wires from MSD, put away the supercharged entry of Melanie Salemi, who recorded an otherwise excellent 3.74 at 199 mph. Musi's Dodge Dart, owned by Frank Brandao, was brand-new, fresh out of the paint shop, and carded a .921-second 60-foot time – not that far from what Top Fuel dragsters can do in the first 60 feet of the course. Check out this video of the record-shattering run from the gang at Dragzine.
